qwatz – contemporary art platform presents the resident artist Alexandra Carter at Casa Musumeci Greco, home of the collector Ines Musumeci, a special place for contemporary art, thanks to a very rich collection, a point of reference and comparison between Roman and international artists, directors and intellectuals.
Alessandra Carter, young artist from Massachusetts, exhibits her works and talks about her research path, which reflects on the female identity in the West today, after feminism, after the struggles, after emancipation. Through his work, Carter looks at the intimacy of women and questions them about the gap between personal and social identities. The artist mainly uses painting, drawing, sculpture and collage.
