Hong-kai Wang

May 2012

Involved in the project ‘The Human Factor’, due to a complex bureaucratic process, Hong-kai Wang  continues to explore how “discussion” as a commonplace social practice can be of critical, transformative capacity, resisting to not merely reproducing itself as an uncontested, given mechanism. A series of audio and video documents from works developed over the past year in Copenhagen and Vienna accompany a new performative workshop which take the subversive potential of musical composition as its subject. The performance ‘The Musical Condition of Reasonable Conspiracy’ will be act the 24th of May at the Museo Pietro Canonica in Villa Borghese, and it will be recorded for a following editing.
