The project—conceived for SUTURA—was developed in collaboration with artist Eugenio Tibaldi, starting with the work Habitat 00 project #02, which served as a catalyst for engaging patients at the Istituto Fisicoterapico di Torino (IFT). Habitat 00 project #02 – exhibited for the first time as part of this project – belongs to a series of works in which the artist addresses themes typical of his research (the margin, the periphery, the logic of survival) and relates them to the human psyche, recovering those residual mental and sensitive spaces that lurk in our daily lives, characterizing their structure and identity.
“Habitat 00 project #02” will be the origin of an exchange between storytelling and drawing that will take place in the waiting rooms of the IFT. The aim of the interaction with the Institute’s patients is to encourage them to listen and to trigger a virtuous dialogue between imagination, critical thinking, fine motor skills, and concentration. A few weeks before the end of the project, Eugenio Tibaldi and some representatives of the IFT will meet the public at SUTURA to discuss the results of the project.
On February 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Tibaldi himself will initiate the dynamic, asking patients to participate in an activity lasting a few minutes. The results produced by the IFT patients will be exhibited anonymously by SUTURA, alongside “Habitat 00 project #02” and “Habitat 00 project #01.”
