November 2016 – January 2017
From 6th November 2016 to 22nd January 2017, qwatz – contemporary art platform hosts Alexandra Carter, young artist from Massachusetts, actually living in London, where she completed a Master in Fine Arts at Goldsmith University. She uses painting, drawing, photography and print, together with storytelling and performance. Her research proceeds among genders, fairytale and rituals, with a particular regard on Eastern culture and the fascination for artists’s lives as Unica Zurn and Dorothy Iannone one’s.
Result: a refined well-structured style where the crossing between myth, history and human experiences wants to translate the emotional complexity of the human body and the attempt to express the connection between the inside and the outside.
